Veterans Adventures JASPER

What we do!!

Our program is in Jasper National Park, and is designed to help, assist or just make it easier for Veterans and their families, or families of our lost comrades to access equipment and opportunities within the Park.

Our Goal and purpose is simply to help assist Veterans to get out and enjoy what the National Park has to offer.  We are a small town, small community, and we offer this small service free to any Veteran, and depending on bookings and equipment their families and even a Veteran and friend.

After leaving the Military many turn in their gear, don't have access to equipment, maybe wounded, injured, or coping with OSI's or PTSD.  The Jasper Legion treats all vets the same.  Rich or poor, injured or healthy, use of our equipment or access to our discounts are for everyone.  A Vet is a Vet.

Please book early, we are a totally volunteer organization, our equipment and offers are limited in number.  Jasper is a busy place at times so please contact us early so we can do our best to get the material or discounts for you.

Please note our services do require identification for verification purposes.

Veterans Adventures Jasper is planning to raise an estimated amount of $10,000 this year on Fund Raising Campaigns.  There is no cost associated with the raising of these funds, nor do we employ a fund raising business.  We are an entirely volunteer organization.  All funds raised will be going directly to Veterans Adventures Jasper, a unincorporated Organization, for the purpose of purchasing equipment and purchasing tickets or excursions for Veterans as defined by Veterans Affairs Canada.  For further information, please contact Keith Henderson @ 780-852-3740. Our address is 401 Geikie Street, Jasper, Alberta, T0E 1E0 (Care of) Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #31.

We have a custom seat that was made to assist those with mobility issues, please contact us to see if it will be suitable for you, or if we can be challenged again..to make something.

Boat Rentals

Various local companies have offered us fishing and paddle boat rentals.  If you would like to take advantage of this, please contact us and we will make the arrangements.  As with most of our local company donations these are limited in number and have various restrictions due to high seasons...for example, they might be already booked or sold out.

Bike Rentals

Whether its Mountain biking or townies for cruising around town and enjoying the sites.  We have discounted rentals for vets from our local business sponsors.

Camping

We have a variety of equipment, tents, sleeping bags, stoves, cooksets, flashlights.  Many of the items you might be missing...treat us like a RQ.  Sign out stuff if you want to take a break and hang out in one of the wonderful campgrounds in the Park.  Deliver the equipment back to us clean and dry...enjoy!

Legion Events

The Royal Canadian Legion holds a great many events throughout the year.  Fantastic bands, gala's, festivals, dinners...any out of town Vets can contact us for free tickets to any of our concerts and bands.  2 Tickets max per event.
Fundraising. We are a low key, local Veteran run, totally volunteer organization.  100 percent of our funds go towards purchase of equipment or veterans needs (i.e. kayaks,  campsites).  This year (2016 - 2017) our fundraising is aimed towards getting a canoe, paddles, seat development and construction (for disabled) and a trailer for the equipment.  We have no admin costs, no wages, no gas or incidental payments.  100% of our funds goes to the equipment and vets.

Sponsors

We are a non profit organization to help Veterans and give back from out community.  Our operations are simple, we accept donations to help us buy equipment such as canoes, kayaks, tents, sleeping bags, cooksets, first aid kits..and lots more.  We especially appreciate donations of rentals, cruises, boats and bikes, or discounts within town.  Activities in Jasper are always appreciated.

As we update our site, we will add links to each of our sponsors.  A big shout out to all of them, they allowed us to give back in a big way!

Shout out to the folks below, great local businesses that have supported us.  Big thanks all.
